PHONICS: GROUP 1 !!

For the past few weeks we've been revising the phonics we studied last year and have now completed all Jolly Phonics letters from group 1! S A T I P N
Durante las últimas semanas, hemos estado repasando los phonics que estudiamos el año pasado ¡y ya hemos completado las letras del grupo 1 de Jolly Phonics! S A T I P N

We made a vocabulary poster for each letter!

¡Para cada letra hacíamos un poster de vocabulario!

So that we remembered all phonics, we created a lapbook in which we glued all letters in foldable strips!
Y para acordarnos de todos estos phonics, ¡hicimos un lapbook en el que pegamos todas las letras en unas tiras plegables!

This is our work once finished!

¡Este es nuestro trabajo una vez terminado!

At the very end of it, just to check that we knew all the letter sounds, we did an activity with mini white boards and wrote down the letter that teacher called out!

Justo al final, para comprobar que sabíamos todas las letras de los sonidos, hicimos una actividad con las pizarritas. ¡Teníamos que escribir la letra que decía teacher!

On another day, we used our phonics cardboard to pin all the vocabulary flashcards on it! Every single child who was in class that day had a go!

¡Otro día, usamos el tablero de phonics para poner todas las tarjetas del vocabulario. ¡Todos los niños que estuvieron en clase ese día participaron!

ROSALEROS GOT TALENT !!!

This week, our new project ROSALEROS GOT TALENT got underway!
A challenging, adventurous, thrilling and exciting mission awaits ahead of us! The children of the infant years 1 and 2 will have to work together in order to recover all talents that superhero TALENTIC once had and now in the hands of DARKY, a selfish and evil person who stole all these talents from him.

Esta semana ha dado comienzo nuestro nuevo proyecto ROSALEROS GOT TALENT.
Nos espera una misión fascinante, emocionante y llena de aventuras. Los niños de 1º y 2º de infantil tendrán que trabajar juntos para recuperar los talentos que el super héroe TALENTIC tuvo en su día y que ahora están en posesión de DARKY, una persona malvada y egoísta que se los ha robado.

Una tarde apareció en el patio una especie de máquina muy rara en la que había una nota y un mapa con pistas. ¡Era de alguien que pedía ayuda!
Así que allí que nos fuimos a averiguar de qué se trataba todo ese misterio.

¡Las pistas estaban por todos sitios!

¡Pero al final el misterio se resolvió!

 ¡Y después nos explicaron más detalladamente quien era este TALENTIC tan misterioso!

FLY SWATTER GAME - NUMBERS !!

We sometimes play games in the afternoons and this one is a classic that can be used on any topic. For this one, we had two teams and when teacher called a number out, we had to run to the board and smash it with the fly swatter.
The children had a great time and not only did they prove to know how to count numbers, but they also showed they can recognise at least up to 12.

A veces las tardes las dedicamos a juegos y éste es uno muy común que se puede usar con cualquier tema. Estábamos en dos equipos y cuando "teacher" nombraba un número, salíamos corriendo hacia la pizarra para aplastarlo con el matamoscas.
Los niños lo pasaron muy bien y demostraron que a parte de saber contar, también saben identificar como mínimo hasta el 12.

FINDING PAIRS !!

A little while ago while revising vocabulary, we played a memory game in which children had to find pairs of animals. In this game, remembering the name of the animals didn't matter as much as the position of the cards, thus stimulating their memory.

Hace ya unos días mientras repasábamos vocabulario, jugamos a un juego de memoria en el que los niños tenían que encontrar parejas de animales. En este juego, recordar los nombres de los animales no importaba tanto como la posición de las tarjetas, estimulando de esta forma su memoria.

HALLOWEEN ACTIVITIES !!

This week we've been celebrating Halloween and to do so, we did different activities.

First, we carved a pumpkin to make a Jack-o-lantern and found out that pumpkins have got seeds inside!

Esta semana hemos estado celebranddo Halloween haciendo diferentes actividades. Primero, esculpimos una calabaza para transformarla en Jack-o-lantern ¡y averiguamos que las calabazas tienen pepitas dentro!

On Halloween day, we made finger puppets!

¡El día de Halloween hicimos marionetas de dedos!

And on Tuesday, all infant classes got together in order to carry out three different Halloween workshops! Here's a brief video clip of what we did! Courtesy of my work mate Judith Martinez!
