NEW PROJECT !!

A few days ago, we found a weird object up in one of the playground trees; it looked like a giant envelope. When we opened it, we found a ball with a note attached to it. The note had been written by an alien who wanted to warn us about the dangers of our planet that he'd seen from outer space. He wrote that the Earth is in danger due to climate change and what the human being is doing to it. He cried for help if we wanted to save our planet Earth so with no further ado, we decided to become 'Rosaleros Guards of the Earth'.
This is from now onward our new project and challenge, to work on how we can help to make our planet a safer place and be more aware of what to do to recycle.

Hace unos días encontramos un objeto muy raro en uno de los árboles del patio; parecía un sobre gigante. Cuando lo abrimos, encontramos una pelota con una nota que la había escrito un alienígena quien nos alertaba de los peligros de nuestro planeta y que él había visto desde el espacio.
Escribió que la tierra está en peligro debido al cambio climático y también por lo que los humanos estamos haciendo. Nos pedía ayuda si queríamos salvar nuestro planeta tierra, así que sin más dilación decidimos convertirnos en "Rosaleros Guardianes de la Tierra".
A partir de ahora en adelante éste es nuestro proyecto y reto, trabajar para ver cómo podemos ayudar para hacer de nuestro planeta un lugar más seguro y ser más conscientes de qué hacer para reciclar.

NEW ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-20

Hello everybody and welcome to the new academic year 2019-20! All the activities found on this blog during this academic year will be focused on the 5-year-old groups.

As well as working on Literacy (phonics) we'll be working on topics from the British Council Integrated Curriculum which are:

• Myself
• I go to school
• Our homes and families
• People who help us (professions)
• In the city (transport)
• I go shopping for food
• Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
• Climate change
• Transport
• The Solar Systerm
• Calendar and season related topics
• Animals
• Tradition stories and fairytales
• Festivities 

All the topics mentioned above are to be covered during the infant stage, no matter which year. Most of them have already been covered in the last two years and the rest will be during this year.
In addition to topics we will also be working on reading and writing and will learn double phonics.

Hola a todos y bienvenidos al nuevo curso escolar 2019-20! Todas las actividades de este blog en este curso escolar estarán enfocadas a los grupos de 5 años.

A parte de ir aumentando el conocimiento de Literacy (phonics) trabajaremos los contenidos del currículo integrado del British Council que son:

• Yo mismo
• Voy al colegio
• Nuestras casas y familias
• La gente que nos ayuda (profesiones)
• En la ciudad (transporte)
• Vamos a comprar comida
• Tecnologías de la información y comunicación
• El cambio climático
• El transporte
• El sistema solar
• Temas relacionados con el calendario y estaciones del año
• Animales
• Cuentos tradicionales
• Festividades

Todos los temas de arriba se han de cubrir durante la etapa de infantil, sin importar en qué curso. La mayoría de ellos ya los hemos cubierto en los dos últimos años y el resto se cubrirán durante este curso. Además de los temas descritos, también estudiaremos lecto-escritura y fonemas dobles de phonics.
