FAREWELL 2020-21

We have come to the end of this odd and unusual academic year. Back in September, everything was unclear and people in general were quite negative and not at all optimistic about having lessons in attendance at the school. However, things started to look up after a while and with everybody giving a helping hand with everything to do with health conditions and also complying with rules and restrictions, we managed to complete the academic year with very little mishaps.

So thank you very much everyone, starting with students, families and staff for making this difficult year possible. Hopefully next academic year will be much better and things will go back to normal little by little.

Hemos terminado este extraño curso. En septiembre, todo estaba confuso y en general la gente estaba bastante confusa y poco optimista en tener clases presenciales en el colegio. Sin embarto, las cosas empezaron a mejorar al poco tiempo y con la ayuda de todos en lo que se refiere a las condiciones sanitarias y también con el cumplimiento de las normas y restricciones por parte de todos, hemos conseguido completar el año académico con muy pocos contratiempos.

Quiero dar las gracias a todo el mundo, empezando por los alumnos, familias y personal del colegio por hacer posible este año tan difícil. Esperemos que el próximo curso sea mucho mejor y que las cosas  poco a poco vuelvan a la normalidad.

YEARS 4 & 6 - ONCE UPON A WEEK

During the cultural week, we celebrated "once upon a week", a festivity in which the whole school was involved. Classes in their different levels worked a story related to a common theme which was "fantastic beasts". In year 4 and year 6 we did some work on Harry Potter and some children came to school dressed up as one of the characters.

In year 4 we made a mandrake as they appear in one of the films. And in year 6 we played a game with some Harry Potter problems, riddles and we also did a escape room.

Durante la semana cultural, celebramos la festividad "once upon a week" en todo el colegio. Las clases de diferentes niveles trabajaron un cuento relacionado a un tema común, que eran "animales fantásticos". En cuarto y sexto trabajamos un poco Harry Potter y algunos niños vinieron al cole disfrazados de algún personaje.

En cuarto, hicimos una mandrágora que aparece en una de las películas. Y en sexto hicimos un juego de problemas y acertijos y también una escape room.

YEAR 6 - DENSITY EXPERIMENT !!

In Natural Science we studied mass, volume and density. One day we carried out an experiment with objects of different mass, volume and density. The objects were submerged in water in order to find out their density. 

En Ciencias Naturales hemos estudiado masa, volumen y densidad. Un día hicimos un experimento con objetos de diferente masa, volumen y densidad. Los objetos se sumergían en agua para averiguar su densidad.

In another experiment, we had a standard can of coke and a sugar-free can of coke. The children had to figure out what would happen if we submerged the two cans in water. Would they float or sink?

En otro experimento, teníamos una lata de cola normal y otra sin azúcar. Los chicos tenían que averiguar que pasaría al sumergir las latas en agua. ¿Flotarían o se hundirían?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

This first and complicated term has now come to an end!! It hasn't been easy as we had to overcome obstacles and hurdles but with our resilience and unity we managed to succeed, so well done everyone!!

I just want to wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Este primer y complicado trimstre ha terminado!! No ha sido facil ya que tuvimos que superar obstaculos y barreras, pero con nuestra fuerza y unidad, lo hemos logrado así que mi enhorabuena a todos!!

HALLOWEEN 2020!

This year we celebrated Halloween not as we would have liked but in an unusual way due to the health situation. But nevertheless, we still did some activities, decorated our classroom door and danced to the Thriller song!

Este año hemos celebrado Halloween no como nos hubiése gustado sino de forma diferente debido a la situación sanitaria. Sin embargo, aún hicimos algunas actividades, decoramos la puerta de la clase y bailamos la cancion de Thriller!
