PHONICS - GROUP 3 !!

By finishing group 3 of phonics, we have achieved our goal of completing the first three groups of the Jolly Phonics Book for this academic year. The children have learnt single-letter sounds and will advance to two-letter sounds next year.
Al terminar el grupo 3 de phonics, hemos conseguido nuestro propósito de completar los tres primeros grupos del libro Jolly Phonics para este curso. Los niños han aprendido sonidos de una sola letra y avanzarán a dos letras el curso que viene.

PLACES IN TOWN !!

Another topic we've been working on which is linked to professions already covered earlier on is places in town. This topic didn't turn out to be too difficult for the children since they associated the place with its profession which they already knew, so they figured out most of places quite easily.
In order to learn this topic, we did different activities such as a match-up worksheet, memory games and a fly swatter running game!

Otro tema que hemos estado estudiando y que está ligado al ya cubierto profesiones es el de lugares en la ciudad. Este tema no ha resultado demasiado difícil para los niños ya que lo asociaban con la profesión puesto que ya la sabían y resolvieron la mayoría de los lugares bastante fácil.
Para aprender este tema, hicimos actividades diferentes como una ficha de emparejar, juegos de momoria o el juego de correr con un mata moscas.

ROSALEROS GOT TALENT - TECHNOLOGY !!

Even though Technology has been somewhat present in the classroom all year round, the Technology talent has brought us different and new uses of gadgets such as Ozobots or virtual instruments on the IWB as well as the already known BeeBot, Escornabots or Augmented Reality.

Aunque la tecnología ha estado presente de alguna forma a lo largo del curso, el talento de la tecnología nos ha traído diferentes y nuevos usos de artilugios como Ozobots o instrumentos virtuales en la PDI, así como los ya conocidos BeeBot, Escornabots o Realidad Virtual.

ROSALEROS GOT TALENT - GASTRONOMY !!

For the gastronomy talent we carried out various workshops on different days. Here is what we did:
Para el talento de la gastronomía hicimos varios talleres en distintos días. Esto es lo que hicimos:

Senses workshop - Taller sensorial
One of the workshops we carried out during the Gastronomy talent was the 5-sense workshop where we had to use our ability to find out what food we had in front of us since we could not see it!
Uno de los talleres que hicimos durante el talento de la gastronomía fue conocer los 5 sentidos donde teníamos que usar nuestra habilidad para descubrir qué alimentos teníamos delante nuestra, ya que no los podíamos ver.

Solar cooker - Cocina solar
One day we were so lucky as to have the visit of some scientists who showed us how to cook using solar energy.
Un día tuvimos la suerte de tener la visita de algunos científicos que nos enseñaron como cocinar utilizando energía solar.

Master chef
The ultimate workshop was the one we did in the playground. This one was a challenge since the judges would determine if the food that we prepared in the classroom was worth a Michelin star!
El taller definitivo fue el que hicimos en el patio. Fue un reto ya que había un jurado que juzgaría si la comida que habíamos preparado dentro de clase era merecedora de una estrella Michelín.

PHONICS: GROUP 2 !!

We've been progressing on Literacy during the year and all phonics from group 2 are now complete C,K,E,H,R,M,D. Group 3 awaits!
Different activities have been done, from songs, posters, interactive exercises, worksheets and a lapbook in which all phonics are gathered.
Hemos estado avanzando en Literacy a lo largo del año y hemos completado todos los sonidos del grupo 2. C,K,E,H,R,M,D. ¡El grupo 3 nos espera!
Se han hecho varios ejercicios, desde canciones, pósters, ejercicios interactivos, fichas y un lapbook donde se recogen todos los sonidos.

ROSALEROS GOT TALENT - FASHION WEEK !!

As you know, quite a few days ago we recovered the Fashion talent and to conclude it we carried out the "Rosales Fashion Week" which some of you could watch live. All the kids were involved and engaged in and had an unforgettable time!

Como sabéis hace ya unos cuantos días terminamos el reto de la moda y para ello lo culminamos con la "Rosales Fashion Week" que muchos de vosotros pudisteis seguir en directo. Todos los niños estuvieron involucrados y dedicados al desfile y pasaron un momento inolvidable!

EASTER !!

As Easter holiday was coming closer, during the last few days of the term, we did Eastery activities like colouring an Easter bunny, playing Easter bingo and an augmented reality Easter activity! However, what we enjoyed most was the Easter egg hunt we carried out in the playground!

Al irse acercando las vacaciones de Semana Santa, los últimos días del trimestre los dedicamos a hacer actividades de Semana Santa como colorear un conejo típico con huevos de Pascua, jugamos al Easter bingo e hicimos una actividad de realidad aumentada. Sin embargo, con lo que mejor nos lo pasamos fue con la búsqueda de huevos de Pascua en el patio.
