Since we arrived in India a few weeks ago, we have learnt new and exciting facts about this incredible country and part of it is thanks to some challenges proposed by Zowi that we had to undertake, such as what popular board games The Indians have invented, what typical instruments they play, the spices they usually use in their food or what happens in the River Ganges, among others!
Desde que llegamos a la India hace unas semanas, hemos ido aprendiendo nuevos y apasionantes hechos sobre este país tan increíble y parte de eso es gracias a los retos que Zowi nos propuso como por ejemplo cuales son los juegos de mesa mas famosos que han inventado, que instrumentos típicos tocan, las especias que normalmente usan en las comidas y qué pasa en el río Ganges.
During these weeks we have carried out different activities and workshops, both as a whole class and merged with others.
Durante estas semanas hemos llevado a cabo diversas actividades y talleres, tanto en nuestra clase como mezclados con otras.
We decorated tea cups along with a very typical animal that is the elephant.
Decoramos tazas de té y también un animal tan típico como es el elefante.
We also played games since The Indians invented some of the most popular board games.
También jugamos a juegos de mesa, ya que los hindúes inventaron varios juegos de este tipo.
The Indians invented the shampoo so on a different day we made shampoo in the classroom by mixing up a few ingredients and afterwards we blew some bubbles!
Los hindúes también inventaron el champú así que otro día hicimos champú en clase mezclando varios ingredientes ¡y después hicimos pompas!
They claim to have invented the ink so we wanted to give it a go by filling Indian writing in.
¡Dicen que inventaron la tinta y quisimos probar a usarla rellenando escritura típica hindú!
And do you know what? They also invented the tape measure. This was a difficult task since we had to measure how long some animal were but it was fun because we practised our mathematical skills!
¿Y sabes qué? También inventaron el metro de medir. Esto fue una tarea difícil porque teníamos que medir lo que medían algunos animales pero fue divertido porque practicamos nuestros conocimientos matemáticos.
We did an Augmented Reality activity!

We became actors for a little while as we had to mime what was in the photograph!
¡Nos convertimos en actores durante un ratito ya que teníamos que escenificar lo que había en la foto!
...and at the end of it we dressed up as Indian people with the Taj Mahal in the background! How cool is that!?
