4-YEAR-OLD CLASS - HALLOWEEN: DECORATING A PUMPKIN

Halloween is getting closer and so we decorated a little pumpkin in the classroom last Friday. We´ll take it to the library on Monday for a story telling workshop.

Halloween se acerca y por eso decoramos esta pequeña calabaza en clase el pasado viernes. La llevaremos a la biblioteca el lunes para el taller de cuenta cuentos.

4-YEAR-OLD CLASS - APPLE DAY

On Friday 20th October we celebrated "Apple Day" and had our apple in the school playground.

This event takes place mainly in the UK and varies in size, as it can be small or large, held at house gardens or even in field fairs. People play games, cook and do cookery demonstrations, needless to say with apple ingredients. 

El viernes 20 de octubre celebramos el "Apple Day" y nos tomamos nuestra manzana en el recreo del colegio.

Este evento tiene lugar principalmente en el Reino Unido y varía en magnitud ya que puede celebrarse de forma familiar en el jardín de casa como en campo abierto a modo de feria. En ambos se hacen juegos, se cocina y hasta se hacen demostraciones del arte culinario, siempre por supuesto con ingredientes de la manzana.

5-YEAR-OLD CLASS - FRUITS

We wanted to have a bit of fun in the classroom today and we did so by drawing some fruits on the mini white boards.

Hoy queríamos divertinos un poco en la clase y para eso hemos dibujado unas frutas en las pizarritas.

4-YEAR-OLD CLASS - SHAPES & NUMBERS

Today in class, we reviewed some of the shapes and numbers and used the mini white boards to do so. The shapes that we reviewed were circle, square and rectangle and numbers 1 & 2.

Hoy hemos repasado algunas de las figuras y números en clase utilizando las pizarritas. Las figuras que hemos repasado son el círculo, cuadrado y rectángulo y los números 1 y 2.

5-YEAR-OLD CLASS - BEE BOT

Today Friday, we experienced with bee bot for the very first time in this academic year. We had two teams, bee bot with the animal set and blue bot with the means of transport set. We took turns to work in the classroom and play with bee bot in the corridor.

Hoy viernes hemos experimentado con bee bot for primera vez en este curso. Estábamos en dos equipos, bee bot con los animales y blue bot con los medios de transporte. Nos turnamos para trabajar en clase y juguetear con bee bot en el pasillo.

5-YEAR-OLD CLASS - BOOK FAIR

This week we had the book fair going on at the school and the kids went  into the multipurpose room to listen how Ruth told them the story "Clarabella's teeth". They were all engaged in and paid attention very carefully!

Esta semana hemos tenido la feria del libro en el cole y los niños fueron a la sala multiusos para escuchar como Ruth les contaba las historia "Clarabella's teeth". Estuvieron todos muy atentos y escucharon con atención.

Esta semana hemos tenido la feria del libro en el cole y los niños fueron a la sala multiusos para escuchar como Ruth les contaba las historia "Jazzy in the jungle". Estuvieron todos muy atentos y escucharon con atención.

3-YEAR-OLD CLASS - PSYCHO-MOTOR ACTIVITY

On Wednesday we carried out our first psycho-motor session in English and the kids seemed to enjoy it. Here's what they did!

El miércoles tuvimos nuestra primera sesión de psicomotricidad en inglés y los niños parece que disfrutaron. Aquí os dejo lo que hicieron!

EXPERIMENT PROJECT

During the second term of the 2016-17 academic year, the teachers of the infant years 2 & 3 started up a bilingual workshop of experiments in which children crafted and managed varied activities. These activities helped them learn as well as arouse their curiosity for science and the experiments being carried out. For them, it was a whole new and exciting experience. Here is a compilation.

P.S. Experiments Project won the best innovative experience at the "Utopias Educativas"  which took place in May 2017. 

Durante el segundo y tercer trimestre del curso escolar 2016-2017, los maestros/as de 2º y 3º de educación infantil comenzaron un taller bilingüe de experimentos donde los niños desarrollaban y hacían actividades manuales. Estas actividades les ayudaban a aprender así como a despertar su curiosidad por la ciencia y los experimentos que se llevaban a cabo. Para ellos fue una gran experiencia, nueva y apasionante. 

P.D. Experiments Project se llevó el 1º premio a la mejor experiencia de infantil en el encuentro "Utopías Educativas" que tuvo lugar en mayo de 2017.
