3-YEAR-OLD CLASS - LITERACY

This second term we have introduced phonics in the classroom and the first one we have learnt is "S". We thought that the best way to learn this letter was to make a crafty snake, which is the mascot of the Jolly Phonics method.
Here's a sequence of the process. First of all, we had to prepare the dough with flour, salt and water. Then, we kneaded it and rolled it out and afterwards, we made the shape of an S to make it look like a snake! Lastly, we painted it red with black spots!

Este segundo trimestre hemos introducido los phonics en la clase y el primero que hemos aprendido es la "S". Pensamos que la mejor forma de aprender esta letra era hacer una manualidad de la serpiente, que es la mascota del método Jolly Phonics.
Aquí os mostramos una secuencia del proceso. Primero tuvimos que preparar la masa con harina, sal y agua. Después la amasamos y la aplastamos con el rodillo. Luego hicimos la forma de la S para que se pareciese a una serpiente. ¡Y por último la pintamos y le pusimos puntitos negros!
